PROTECT A VULNERABLE PERSON, WORRY LESS

Peace of mind is knowing that Vitals™ will be there when you can’t be.

As someone who cares for a vulnerable adult or child, you know how important it is to create safe, calm interactions in an emergency. We understand that uncertainty creates stress and that clear communication is needed to keep a vulnerable person safe. That’s why we created the Vitals™ App — to securely connect first responders and caregivers in the critical moments that matter most.

Are you concerned about your own safety in an emergency? Do you have a disability or invisible condition that could affect your ability to communicate clearly? If you worry about being able to advocate for yourself in moments of crisis, the Vitals™ App can give you peace of mind.

Safer interactions, positive outcomes.

We securely share key information with emergency responders, in real time, providing key information about the vulnerable adult or child in your care:

  • Allergies
  • Behavior triggers
  • De-escalation techniques
  • Disabilities
  • Emergency contact details
  • Invisible conditions
  • Medications

How it works for the person in your care.

The Vitals™ App is a subscription service that helps achieve a higher level of safety, independence and peace of mind for vulnerable adults and children. Create a profile with the critical information about the vulnerable person in your care. In an emergency or moment of crisis, authorized first responders and 911 dispatchers will use this information to increase calm and safety throughout the interaction. With our premium Profile+Places subscription, wandering alerts provide notification when a vulnerable person has left the safe area you designate. This service requires the vulnerable person to carry a smartphone with location services turned on.

“This is something for me that gives me great comfort when sending my son out, and Vitals™ has given him more independence and the ability to get out without me having to worry about him.”

SAFER COMMUNITIES FOR EVERY PERSON

Innovative technology for the social good

Vitals™ started in 2017 to meet a pressing need that we couldn’t ignore: Communities needed a simple way to protect the most vulnerable children and adults, in the moments when seconds count and minutes matter.

The Vitals™ founders knew from personal experiences the essential role of clear, calm communication between vulnerable people and first responders in a moment of crisis. And they knew that simple, powerful and lasting solutions must come through a dual focus on technology and partnerships.

Founded in partnership with the Autism Society of Minnesota, Vitals™ launched in August 2017 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Today, we help people, families, first responders and communities across the U.S. — and we are only getting started.

Our earliest work began by connecting with non-profits, families, caregivers and first responders. We heard parents and caregivers share the burden of worry, when clear communication is so uncertain between first responders and the person in their care. And we heard emergency responders express the stressful challenge they face without access to information in urgent moments of crisis or escalation.

This growing understanding led us to create a technology solution that bridges the information gap between first responders and vulnerable people in times of crisis. And we invite you to join us in the connection, care and community peace of mind that is the Vitals™ App.

Are you concerned about your own safety in an emergency? Do you have a disability or invisible condition that could affect your ability to communicate clearly? If you worry about being able to advocate for yourself in moments of crisis, the Vitals™ App can give you peace of mind.
