We’ve Been Busy!

This week, we are celebrating a successful November as we have had some amazing opportunities with outreach so far this month. We are excited to continue our reach over the course of the holiday season! The Vitals™ team has been busy attending conferences, resource fairs, expos and speaking engagements spreading the word about the Vitals™ App and the life- saving benefits it has to individuals and families living with invisible and visible conditions and disabilities.

We want to give a huge shout out to the hosting organizations who invited us to share our information to their attendees. We appreciate all that you do in providing the resources and support for the individuals you serve! Here is a look at some of the highlights during this past weeks’ events!

ARC Assistive Technology Fair and Destination Medical Center Technology Challenge

We had a blast joining The Arc Minnesota Southeast Region and the Mayo Clinic’s DisAbility Employee Resource Group in Rochester last weekend at the Destination Medical Center Assistive Technology Challenge. It was a great opportunity to partner with organizations committed to creating solutions that foster an improved quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are so proud that we placed first in the professional division of a competition pitching Vitals™ to potential investors and partners. Thanks for the $5,000 check, Arc Minnesota! It will help us with building awareness, outreach and engagement in communities across Minnesota and other states.

Mount Olivet Rolling Acres Annual Fall Conference

Here we are at the MORA (Mount Olivet Rolling Acres) Annual Fall Conference (left) where we got to exhibit our resources as well as listen to the inspiring and educational David Whalen who has worked in the disability field for most of his career and founded his very own Disability Awareness Training where he specializes in training law enforcement, emergency responders, human service providers, corporations and businesses, places of worship and educators. It was a pleasure listening to him his story and his best practices in supporting those with various disabilities and conditions. We also got the chance to listen to a panel feature four members of the disability services community (right) as they discussed real-life situations where emergency responders were involved and how they responded and what they could do to improve the situation. Thank you MORA for including us!!

3rd Annual Minnesota School Mental Health Conference

Last week was our very first attendance at the annual Minnesota School Mental Health Conference up at Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd MN . This conference was a 3 -day event where attendees learned about all of the existing and new mental health resources for schools. We were so happy to be a featured exhibitor at this event and are already looking forward to next year!

Epilepsy & Seizure Wellness Expo

This past Saturday, we were invited to exhibit Vitals™ at the Annual Epilepsy & Seizure Wellness Expo. We were one of many featured exhibitors who were able to educate individuals and families living with epilepsy about Vitals™ and how it can foster greater independence and peace of mind for them and their loved ones. We were so excited as we gave away almost every beacon that we brought with!! Thank you to all the families who stopped by to learn about the Vitals™ app and for the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota for including us this weekend!
