Independence, safety and support. Whether you are a parent of a child with invisible disabilities, a spouse to someone struggling with mental illness or PTSD, or an adult caring for aging parents, you may worry about communicating with authorities when your loved one can’t.
The Hopkins Police Department is partnering with The Vitals™ App to provide real-time information, so first responders are better prepared to support special needs within our community. As a Vitals™ subscriber, you create a secure profile to communicate critical information for unpredictable situations. When needed, the app provides 911 and first responders with the information to de-escalate situations safely.
You choose the information to share:
• medical information
• critical needs
• behavior triggers
• de-escalation techniques
• code words or a calming message from you
Subscribe today! Let the Vitals™ App speak for your loved one when you can’t be there.
Individuals and caregivers who subscribe to Vitals™ create a profile with critical information about the vulnerable person. The information provided is 100% voluntary and is only seen by authorized first responders and 911 dispatchers.
When the vulnerable person wears or carries a Vitals™ Bluetooth device and is close enough to interact with a first responder, the officer will get a notification on their smartphone about the person’s needs and how to best interact with them. It gives first responders a chance to make a positive and helpful connection.
