September 17, 2021 – Minneapolis, MN – Vitals™ Aware Services, creators of the Vitals™ App, announced today that Joe Meyers has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer.

“Joe has a proven track record in building and growing brands. He understands the importance of the customer experience and how to use digital marketing to reach our customer base,” said Janeé Harteau, president/chief executive officer for Vitals™ Aware Services.
“We are excited to add another proven leader to our team. With Joe’s knowledge and expertise, Vitals will accelerate its goal of getting this life-saving technology into the hands of people and families that need it the most.”
Meyers plans to prioritize three areas of focus: launching new data-driven marketing initiatives, discovering new partnerships and empowering current users to become a vibrant community.
“I am thrilled to join this passionate team and have this great opportunity to positively impact the lives of people across this country and world,” Meyers said.
The Vitals™ App equips first responders and 9-1-1 emergency communications centers with life-saving information voluntarily provided by Vitals™ subscribers. The service allows a vulnerable person or caregiver to register online and provide critical information about medical conditions, memory loss, mental health, de-escalation cues or any visible or invisible disability or condition. The Vitals™ App speaks clearly when vulnerable individuals can’t.
Vitals™ has been making an impact across the country. In 2018, Katelyn Kasel, a Vitals™ user who lives with a mild cognitive disability, became confused one night on her drive home when the route she had memorized was blocked. Fortunately, an officer who responded to the scene was alerted about Katelyn’s disability through the Vitals™First Responder app, which had detected her VitalsTM signal. The officer was able to leverage the information on Katelyn’s Vitals™ profile to offer her the help needed to get home safely.
The Vitals™ App was developed in partnership with first responders and the Autism Society of Minnesota as a technology for public good.
